Well, it has been almost 16 months since I rode 100 miles on a hot Nevada day! My desire at the end was to through my bike on the truck and head back to the hotel. I pretty much did that, and in fact cycling has been low on my list since then. There are a variety of reasons, but the good news is that I look forward to hoping back in the saddle here soon. Warm up Nebraska.
I believe I have forgotten what I learned that summer about setting goals and taking small increments toward them. Sometimes they are just little steps, but they are steps no less. I might need to just ride 10 miles today. I forget the fear too that can surround you when you first begin a new journey. But the key aspect, just show up for the ride! I believe it is time to suit up!
